Gwinn schools make candidate profile for new supt.
Gwinn High School representatives and Gwinn School Board had some homework of their own to do Thursday night.
They with the Michigan Association of School Boards, they met to finalize a candidate profile to fill the position of a new superintendent.
“(We’re looking for) Communications, leadership, trust–worthiness, financial background, many various things,” Gwinn School Board President Gloria Bigelow said.
“We are going to be looking at candidates who come from perhaps other small districts, but perhaps larger districts and they are looking for a smaller district, home–town values,” Sherie Davie from the Michigan Association of School Boards said.
Gwinn’s profile for a candidate includes the following criteria: education level, budgeting capabilities, curriculum development, contract negotiations and public relations.
The finalized profile will be presented to the board in December.
