Trial of Subway robbery suspect delayed
A Wisconsin man accused of robbing restaurants in Escanaba will have his trial delayed.
Fifty-one-year-old Brook Grzelak of Green Bay was scheduled to go to trial today in Delta County Circuit Court. Grzelak filed an appeal that will postpone his trial.
He’s charged with two counts of breaking and entering with intent, two counts of safebreaking and one count of possession of burglary tools.
Grzelak was the suspect in a December 2012 investigation of robberies of two Subway restaurants in Escanaba. Cash was stolen from safes inside both restaurants. He may also face additional charges in Wisconsin for similar incidents.
