Crystal Falls woman makes plea deal
A Crystal Falls woman facing fourteen criminal counts in connection to a string of Iron County thefts made a plea deal in Iron County Trial Court.
Carol Herbert, 60, pled guilty to two counts of receiving and concealing stolen property and three counts of retail fraud.
Nine other counts, including five larceny charges, were dismissed.
Herbert was arrested September 13 by the Iron County Sheriff’s Department.
Police say the uncovered evidence from a number of Iron River stores that had reported stolen items while investigating the theft of decorations from the Evergreen Cemetery in Crystal Falls.
Herbert will be sentenced November 18.
