Man who damaged police property arraigned
The man sought by the Michigan State Police’s Hometown Security Team was arraigned on two felony malicious destruction counts Thursday in Marquette County District Court.
Austin Ritchie, 20, allegedly caused more than $4,000 worth of damage to the Michigan State Police’s Forensics Lab in north Marquette and a state vehicle from the Eighth District Headquarters.
Ritchie was identified and caught with the help of those who called in after seeing his image on a surveillance video from a store on the north side of Marquette.
He is scheduled to be back in Marquette County District Court for a pretrial hearing on November 6.
