MSP post commander graduates from FBI National Academy
One of the Michigan State Police post commanders in the Upper Peninsula has graduated from the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia.
First Lt. Gregory Cunningham is the commander of the Gladstone Post. The State Police say he was one of 208 students who recently graduated from the 254th session of the FBI National Academy.
The academy consists of ten weeks of training in a wide range of criminal justice fields, from ethics to constitutional law to advanced investigative work. Lt. Cunningham was also part of the 254th session Leadership Challenge. The challenge involves specialized training from FBI Academy staff and many other FBI personnel.
Cunningham is a U.S. Air Force veteran who has been with the Michigan State Police since 1995. He was formerly the post commander of the Iron Mountain Post before joining the Gladstone Post late last year.
