Man pleads guilty in drug case
One man arrested on drug charges in Luce County pled guilty in court Tuesday.
Harvey Owens, 27, from Chicago made a conditional plea in Luce County Circuit Court. He pled guilty to one count of obstruction of justice.
Owens can withdraw his plea anytime between now and his scheduled sentencing for December 3 if any circumstances come up in his case.
Owens and Bradley Heard, 35, were arrested by the Straits Area Narcotics Enforcement Team in September after they were seen boarding a bus in the Newberry. S.A.N.E. seized crack cocaine and other drug materials from their home.
Heard is scheduled for arraignment in Circuit Court later this month.
