Upper Michigan’s fall color changes ready to peak
The fall color season is in full swing across Upper Michigan and the changing of colors is right on schedule.
The colors of the leaves changing begin as early as mid–September and runs through late October. The colors of fall peak at varying times depending on where you are in the state along with what the local weather conditions are like.
The eastern part of the U.P. is just now starting to see the green leaves turn to yellow, while the far western half of Upper Michigan near, the Wisconsin border, already have the full spectrum of colors. As for central–Upper Michigan, the trees have all of the colors mixed in from bright green all the way to dark red.
