Trial set for terror threat suspect
A Rapid River man will be going to trial in connection with terror threats and attempted manufacturing of explosive devices.
James Bugg, 28, had a supplemental pre–trial in Delta County Circuit Court where a three–day jury trial is scheduled for January 2014.
He is charged with one count of Attempted Explosives: Manufacture/Possession of Explosives or Incendiary Device with Malicious Intent.
Bugg was arrested in June at his home in Masonville Township after a joint investigation between the Gladstone Post of the Michigan State Police, the FBI and ATF.
Bugg allegedly made threats on the internet to build an explosive device and attempt to harm people at a public venue.
