Teen gets year in jail for break-in
A teenager from Negaunee Township will have to spend a year in jail for breaking and entering.
Nineteen-year-old Tyler Johnson was sentenced in District Court in Ishpeming this morning.
He’ll also have to pay restitution to the victims.
He pleaded guilty to breaking and entering a vehicle and stealing under $200, second or subsequent offense.
The Negaunee Police Department arrested Johnson on August 14th after getting a call about three subjects breaking into vehicles on Pine Street in Negaunee.
Police say Johnson had several items that were believed to be stolen.
