Two men arrested for drug possession
Two men are behind bars in Gogebic County Jail after marijuana and pills packaged for delivery were found by Michigan State Police Troopers during a routine traffic stop.
Troopers from the Wakefield Post stopped the vehicle in question on US-2 near Lake Street in the City of Ironwood just after midnight on Saturday. Officers were able to detect the smell of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle after making contact with the driver. A search of the automobile turned up marijuana and pills packaged for delivery, alongside several hundred dollars.
A male subject from Ramsay was arrested for one count of possession with intent to deliver and one count of resisting and obstructing a police officer. Another male subject from Bessemer was also arrested for possession with intent to deliver.
Both men are lodged at the Gogebic County Jail pending arraignment.
