Power outages storm through Eastern U.P.
More than 6,000 homes in the Eastern U.P. are without power after a vicious storm front swept through the area overnight.
Cloverland Electric Cooperative reports numerous power outages throughout its service area due to severe weather in the region. Line crews are working to identity the cause of an early morning transmission outage affecting services in Pickford, DeTour Village, Cedarville, Hessel, Goetzville, Stalwart and Drummond Island. Numerous outages are also reported in Newberry, Curtis, Germfask, Trout Lake, Paradise, and McMillan.
