Natural resources discussion in the U.P.
A series of Natural Resources Town Hall meetings, will take place August 20-21 in Upper Michigan.
On Tuesday, August 20, State Reps. Ed McBroom, Andrea LaFontaine and Aric Nesbitt will hold a meeting at Fornette Hall, Room 104 at Bay College West, 2801 North US. 2 in Iron Mountain from 7 to 8 p.m.. Central Time.
Wednesday, Aug. 21, Schloegel’s Restaurant, 2720 10th St. in Menominee, from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Central Time, will be the location of one, while another meeting will be held at the
Joseph Heirmann Building at Bay de Noc Community College, 2001 N. Lincoln Road in Escanaba, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Eastern Time.
Rep. McBroom has invited House Natural Resources Committee Chair Andrea LaFontaine and other lawmakers for a discussion about natural resource policies in Michigan. Of special interest is local opinions and ideas about the Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund, which provides grant funds for public land acquisition and recreational development projects.
