The Negaunee Police Department was dispatched to the area of Pine Street just after midnight on a report of three subjects breaking into vehicles.

One male suspect was taken into custody. Police say the man had several items that are believed to be stolen. The Negaunee Police Department is asking residents to check their vehicles and report any missing items by calling (906) 475-4154.

 The investigation is ongoing and charges are being sought against the suspect in custody. The suspect’s name and any further info available will be released if and when charges are authorized by the Marquette County Prosecutor’s Office. The Ishpeming Police Department assisted at the scene.
