Two women hurt in US-41 crash
Two women were hurt in a crash on US-41 in Negaunee Township Sunday afternoon.
Michigan State Police from the Negaunee Post say it happened shortly after 2:30 p.m. at the Heritage Drive intersection.
Thirty-seven-year-old Kimberly Larson of Negaunee was on Heritage Drive in a 2009 Chrysler minivan and turned into the westbound lanes of US-41.
Police say she pulled out in front of a 1998 Chevrolet sedan driven by 22-year-old Samantha Lawler of Marquette. Lawler could not stop in time to avoid the crash.
After being treated at the scene, both women were taken to Marquette General Hospital with unknown injuries. Two children in Larson’s minivan were not hurt.
Both vehicles had to be towed. The Negaunee Township Fire Department, Negaunee Township First Responders and Marquette General EMS assisted at the scene.
