Firefighters gather for annual tournament

Hundreds of firefighters from across the Upper Peninsula have gathered in Baraga County for the 119th Annual U.P. Firefighters’ Tournament.

Thursday had a firefighter’s dress parade in L’Anse, that featured bands and of course, fire trucks. Other scheduled events include a Firemen’s Ball in Baraga Friday night.

Teams of firefighters will put their skills to the test in a competition starting Saturday morning in L’Anse.  The festivities end with a parade and closing ceremonies at the L’Anse Fire Hall Saturday afternoon.
