Railroad bridge work on M-28
The Michigan Department of Natural Resources started maintenance work on a former railroad bridge crossing M-28 in Marquette County Thursday.
The preventive maintenance work is between Timber Lane and Riverland Drive in Chocolay Township, east of Harvey.
Due to the construction, there will be lane closures with temporary traffic signals on M-28.
The bridge currently has a DNR trail.
The project is funded through a Recreational Trails Program Grant through the DNR Parks and Recreation Trail Program, and is expected to be completed on October 1.
