Assisted living facility closing tonight
An assisted living facility in Negaunee is closing its doors tonight.
It’s the Woodland Senior Living Community.
Bell Hospital owns the facility.
In a previously published media report, Bell vice president of organizational development Ruth Solinski said that the hospital is selling the property.
There’s no word on the identity of the buyer.
Solinski has said that the sale is a business decision; when the offer was made, Woodland had a 50% occupancy rate.
She has also said that the sale has nothing to do with Bell’s pending buyout by Lifepoint Hospitals.
Woodland’s residents are being transferred to other facilities.
