New ORV group to form in western U.P.
A new Off Road Vehicle group in Ontonagon is forming, with a mission beyond just enjoying the outdoors.
The group will be called Ontonagon Trail Riders Association for Christ – to be known as On-Trac.
One of the organizers, Skip Schulz, says, “On-Trac looks to be one of the first off road trail riding groups in the United States to be affiliated with the Christian Motorcyclist Association.”
On-Trac is looking for ORV riders, snowmobilers, horseback riders, and anyone who enjoys riding the Upper Peninsula trails.
Shulz says On-Trac hopes to bring in trail riders from throughout the western U.P. to help form the organization.
He added, “Christians of all denominations are invited and encouraged to attend.”
On-Trac will hold it’s first meeting tonight, at 7 p.m. at the Heritage House, on US-45 in Ontonagon. Representatives of the CMA from Houghton will be at the meeting.
