Three car accident barrel rolls pickup truck

Two passengers are in Marquette General Hospital for minor injuries following a three car accident on US 41 in Marquette Township.

The incident occurred when a gray sedan attempted to pull out of the Lowe’s parking lot onto US 41 while a van heading westbound on the highway attempted to turn right into the same lot. At that point, a silver Pontiac collided with sedan before veering off into eastbound traffic and striking a red pickup truck heading eastbound on US 41. According to eyewitnesses, the pickup truck then barreled rolled three or four times before landing on the south side of the highway.

The driver and passenger of the silver Pontiac were then taken to Marquette General for minor injuries by MediRide EMS. No other parties involved in the accident needed medical attention. The accident is still under investigation.

The Marquette County Sheriff’s Department and Marquette Township Fire Department also assisted on the scene.
