Guilty plea in meth lab case
An Ironwood woman is waiting for sentencing after pleading guilty in a meth lab case.
Twenty-seven-year-old Tammy Korpela has pleaded guilty in Gogebic County Circuit Court.
Her sentencing is scheduled for August 13th.
There’s no word from either court officials or the county prosecutor’s office on what charges Korpela has admitted to.
Her co-defendant, 34-year-old Justin Farrsiar, has a Circuit Court motions hearing on June 25th.
He and Korpela were charged with five felonies, including operating a meth lab in the presence of a minor and operating a meth lab near a school or church.
The charges come from an active meth lab on South Mansfield Street in Ironwood.
The lab caught fire on New Year’s Eve.
