School recognizes volunteers

Teachers and the administration of any school district need help in order to keep its schools running smoothly.

A special breakfast was held today at Lakeview Elementary School in Negaunee to thank some of the volunteers who provide that help.

Each year countless volunteers assist in the classroom, with field trips, fundraisers and other programs. The breakfast was a way to give the volunteers some recognition.

The event included a special performance by the Negaunee Middle School Choir. Faust also said the many hours put in by volunteers are invaluable, and without them many of the district’s programs would not be as successful as they are now.
