Pine Mtn. stabbing suspect found competent
A Norway man has been found competent to stand trial for stabbing a member of the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Department earlier this year.
Seventy-four-year-old Andrew Bray is charged with assault with intent to commit murder and carrying a concealed weapon.
He’ll be arraigned in Dickinson County Circuit Court on April 29th.
Bray is accused of stabbing Lt. Derek Dixon of the Sheriff’s Department.
The attack happened at the Continental Cup ski jumping tournament at Pine Mountain on February 10th.
Police say Bray approached Lt. Dixon from behind and stabbed him in the upper back without provocation.
Bray is being held in the Dickinson County Correctional Center on $1 million bond.
