Three car collision in Houghton

A three car accident at approximately 6:55 Wednesday morning at the intersection of M-26 and Sharon Avenue has led to an investigation by the Houghton Police Department.

The collision occurred when a 50 year-old woman failed to yield the right of way and crashed into a 48 year-old man’s vehicle. The impact pushed both cars into a stopped car driven by a 33 year-old man from Kearsage. Both cars involved in the initial collision were driven by Lake Linden residents.

The 50 year old woman sustained minor injuries and was transported to Portage Health in Hancock by a private party. She was the only party to receive any immediate medical treatment. The accident remains under investigation.
