Dredging bills go to governor
The Michigan Senate has approved a series of bills that should make low water levels in Michigan harbors easier to deal with.
The bills all concern dredging at marinas.
Two of the bills passed in the House on Wednesday and two others passed in the Senate this morning.
The Michigan House approved those two bills last week.
Big Bay, Escanaba, Grand Marais, Manistique, Menominee and Munising would have their marinas dredged using emergency money.
The dredging bills now go to Governor Rick Snyder’s desk for his signature.
The governor proposed the dredging plan in a recent budget recommendation.
