GIANT busts three at lab in Ironwood
An early morning drug bust has resulted in the arrest of three Ironwood residents.
According to the City of Ironwood Department of Public Safety, officers assisted GIANT (Gogebic Iron Area Narcotics Team) in the conclusion of a month long investigation to make the bust.
A search warrant was executed at about 1:30 a.m. today at a home on Florence Street in Ironwood. An active meth lab was found. Surrounding residences were evacuated; the residents were transported to safe locations.
Police say the subjects are lodged at the Gogebic County Jail, pending arraignment. They are charged with several offenses, including Manufacturing Meth and Maintaining a Drug House.
Other agencies assisting in the bust include the Hurley, Wisconsin Police Department; Gogebic County Sheriff’s Department and Iron County Sheriff’s Department.
