Free Writers’ Series Lecture at Finlandia
HANCOCK, MI – As part of “Write on the Edge,” a writers’ series presented by Finlandia University and Hancock Central High School, author Hugh Gorman will present a lecture Tuesday, February 19, 2013, at the Finlandia University Chapel of St. Matthew. The lecture begins at 4:15 p.m., is free and open to the public.
Gorman, a professor of social science at Michigan Technological University, will discuss his soon-to-be-published book “The Story of N: A Social History of the Nitrogen Cycle and the Challenge of Sustainability.”
The next lecture in the writers’ series is Tuesday, February 26, when fiction author Danielle Sosin of Duluth will read from her novel “The Long-Shining Waters,” which is set on Lake Superior.
