U.P. 200 closes streets in Marquette

Several streets in downtown Marquette are partially closed because of the U.P. 200.  They are:

• Washington Street from Front Street to Fifth Street
• Fourth Street from Spring Street to Bluff Street
•  Lakeshore Boulevard from Mattson Park to Bluff Street
• Third Street from Spring Street to Bluff Street.

Most of these sections will remain closed until 2 a.m. Saturday.

Two of them will be closed for longer than that, due to the Downtown Showdown Rail Jam snowboard and ski competition.  Lakeshore from Mattson Park to Main Street will not re–open until 9:30 p.m. Saturday night. Washington Street from Lakeshore to Front is closed until 1 p.m. on Sunday.
