Names released in meth lab fire
Names have been released in a meth lab fire that caused damage to a duplex in Ironwood New Year’s Eve.
Justin Christopher Farrsair, 34, and Tammy Rae Korpela, 27, have each been arraigned on five, 20-year felony charges.
They are charged in connection with an active meth lab that is believed to have started a fire at 131 S. Mansfield St in Ironwood. On Wednesday, officers from the Ironwood Department of Public Safety, members of the Gogebic Iron Area Narcotics Team (GIANT) and Meth Response Team members from the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team (UPSET) executed several search warrants at locations in Ironwood.
The Ironwood Department of Public Safety says the five felonies facing Farrisar and Korpela include operating a meth lab in the presence of a minor and operating a meth lab near a school or church.
Farrsiar’s and Korpela’s bond has been set at $50,000 and they remain at the Gogebic County Jail.
