Jail Term for Window-Kicking Suspect
A Houghton County man who was charged with kicking out a police car window will spend the next few months in jail.
40–year–old Michael Harri of Copper City appeared in 97th District Court today for a preliminary exam.
He pleaded guilty to attempted resisting or obstructing a police officer.
In exchange, the county Prosecutor’s Office dropped a domestic violence charge, and a destruction of police property charge.
Harri was sentenced to 120 days in jail and was ordered to undergo treatment for alcohol abuse.
He’d been arrested earlier this month after police investigated a domestic assault complaint involving him and his wife.
Troopers say Harri then kicked out the rear window of a Michigan State Police vehicle.
