Chocolay Lions Club Halloween Party
The freaks came out at night in Chocolay Township for Halloween tricks and treats in a safe environment.
Young Spider–Men, witches, fairies and Batmen filled the gym at Cherry Creek School tonight for a free Halloween party.
Pete LaRue of the Chocolay Lions Club says the club has held the party every Halloween night since 1985, but it couldn’t continue to do that without many people volunteering their time or donating supplies or money.
Several Northern Michigan University hockey players showed up so that the kids could test their stickhandling and wrist shot skills.
The kids got to enjoy a dozen games, along with free food and drinks.
And there was also plenty of candy to serve as a companion to whatever the kids were able to get when they went door to door.
