Truck Fire at Tilden Mine
There were no injuries in a fire this afternoon at the Tilden Mine.
A 240-ton truck caught fire just before 3:30 pm.
The driver of the hauling truck was able to get out of it quickly without getting injured.
The Ishpeming Fire Department was called to the scene as a matter of protocol, but the fire crew was not needed to extinguished the flames.
The blaze is still under investigation.
