Marquette School Bus Hits Pedestrian
A teenage girl is recovering tonight after crossing a street in front of a school bus and getting hit.
The Marquette City Police say the accident happened shortly after 7 am.
A 14–year–old girl was trying to cross College Avenue at the intersection with Eighth Street when a school bus hit her.
Police say the girl crossed into the bus’s path while it was heading west on College Avenue.
She was taken to Marquette General Hospital for treatment of non–life–threatening injuries.
The students on the bus continued on to school after being transferred to another bus.
The investigation is still ongoing.
