Man Stabbed at Marquette Bar

At 10:30 Friday night officers from the city of Marquette Police Department were called to the Long Shot Saloon on West Baraga Avenue in Marquette after receiving a report about a stabbing.

Upon arrival police discovered a 42-year-old male who had been stabbed multiple times. Police say the suspect a 31-year-old man from Marquette had fled the scene and but was located quickly and arrested for felonious assault.

The suspect is currently being lodged in the Marquette County Jail, while the victim was taken to Marquette General Hospital where he was treated and released with non–life threating injuries. The incident is still under investigation.
