Cliffs plans railroad crossing project

Ishpeming, MI—August 23, 2012 —Cliffs Natural Resources, (NYSE: CLF) (Paris: CLF) announced today that the LS&I Railroad will be removing the existing railroad crossing on County Road 550 and replacing it with a new grade crossing. The work will begin at 9:00am on Monday, August 27 and continue until approximately 10:00pm on Wednesday, August 29.

There will be a two lane detour established on the east side of the railroad crossing for traffic. Speed limits on this detour will be no more than five miles per hour. Drivers are encouraged to allow for extra time while traveling this route and to follow speed limit signs.
