Manhunt continues for MI murder suspect
The search continues for homicide suspect Thomas Jack Fritz of Sylvania, Ohio, who is suspected in a double homicide that occurred in Blissfield on July 13, 2012, at approximately 11:40 p.m.
Fritz, age 38, is described as a white male, 5’9,” 186 lbs., with brown hair and blue eyes. He may be driving a burgundy or maroon 2002 Honda, four-door with Ohio registration of EQP8075.
A three-count felony warrant has been authorized by the Lenawee County Prosecutor’s Office for his arrest, including two counts of open murder and one count of assault with intent to commit murder. Additional charges are possible.
Police have identified Fritz’s victims as Amy Lynn Merrill, 33 years of age, former girlfriend of Fritz; Lisa Michelle Gritzmaker, 24 years of age, pregnant sister of Merrill; and Robin Lynn McCowan, 52 years of age, mother of Merrill and Gritzmaker, who received non-fatal injuries and remains hospitalized.
The investigation is being conducted by the Michigan State Police (MSP) Monroe Post, Blissfield Police Department and Lenawee County Sherriff’s Office, with the assistance of the MSP First District Fugitive Team and U.S. Marshals Service.
