Ishpeming Hit-and-Run

Criminal charges may still be pending from a hit-and-run accident in Ishpeming from Friday night in which the hit-and-run driver was injured.
The Ishpeming Police say it happened at about 11 that night at the intersection of Lakeshore Drive and US-41.
A southbound vehicle driven by a 24-year-old Ishpeming woman pulled into the path of a westbound vehicle that a 19-year-old woman from Champion was driving.
Police say the Ishpeming woman then drove away, but they say they later pulled her over on Greenwood Avenue near Cooper Lake Road.
She was taken to Marquette General with possible head trauma.
The Champion woman was not hurt.
The accident is still under investigation.
State Police from the Negaunee Post, the Marquette County Sheriff’s Department and Bell EMS assisted at the scene.
