Model A’s headed to Marquette June 18 – 22
MARQUETTE, MI (June 15, 2012) –Edsel Ford II, the great-grandson of Henry Ford, will join the Model A Ford Club of America (MAFCA) when the 2012 National Convention gets underway next week in Marquette, Michigan.
More than 300 Model A’s are expected to converge next week at the 2012 MAFCA convention will take place June 18 – 22 in Marquette, Michigan, located along the shores of Lake Superior in Michigan’s beautiful Upper Peninsula. Over the course of the week, convention guests will celebrate the historic Model A, attending seminars and swap meets as well as enjoy scenic driving tours and vehicle tours. Edsel Ford II will be speaking during the Farewell Banquet on Friday, June 22. MAFCA Board Members and Convention Planners are honored and delighted that Mr. Ford will be making a visit to Marquette for the banquet.
Edsel Ford II is the great-grandson of Henry Ford, founder of Ford Motor Company. He began working for the Ford Motor Company in January 1974. Currently he is member of the Board of Directors of Ford Motor Company and the owner of Pentastar Aviation.
MAFCA’s members are dedicated to the restoration, preservation, and enjoyment of Ford vehicles of that era. MAFCA is the largest club in the world dedicated to one make of automobile and holds their National Convention every two years.
