Computer glitch fixed at Holiday Station Store
If you were seeing double when you looked at online banking transactions after visiting one Marquette County gas station and convenience store recently, there’s an easy explanation: a computer glitch.
An Ishpeming man contacted ABC 10 after seeing his $25 gas receipt from the Negaunee Holiday Station Store debited twice from his bank account.
The company was quick to respond to inquiries, issuing the following statement:
Retail sale transactions made on Visa and MasterCard credit and debit cards at Holiday Station Stores on Thursday, June 7, were mistakenly processed a second time on Saturday, June 9. Holiday, with the assistance of US Bank identified the software problem which resulted in the duplicated transactions and on Monday, June 11, successfully reversed the transactions made in error.
Company spokesperson, Robert Nye, said, “We have every assurance this very unusual issue will not occur again.”
He went on to say, “We are very sorry for the inconvenience to our customers. We welcome anyone who has questions or comments to contact our Customer Service line.”
