Iditarod Winner Visits Marquette
The youngest person to ever win the Iditarod was in Marquette this evening letting the community in on his goals and experiences during the race.
Dallas Seavey was born into a family where mushing is a tradition. Where he learned the most important aspects of building a strong dog sled team. And, even with the big win the team is still working hard towards the next race.
Dallas attended N.M.U. and wrestled for the U.S.O.E.C. program. Now six years later, he is excited to come back and share his experiences with the community.
The Iditarod is a race across Alaska where dog sled teams race for 9 to 10 days straight.
