Hancock Bussing Update
Hancock Public School officials are working to clear the air.
A special board meeting was held to address a number of concerns raised by parents at the board’s regular meeting.
Those questions included administrative contracts, financial management, and the privatization of the school bus system.
Hancock Schools Superintendent Monica Healy addressed the view that using a private company for bussing students has been unsafe for children and more expensive for the school.
Healy also explained that changes to administrative contracts could be made if both parties agreed to it.
She also detailed the financial savings over the past three years in the school’s budget.
The next regular meeting of the Hancock School Board is April 23rd.
