City of Marquette Parks Begin to Open

Today is the first day of Spring, but for the past few days it has seemed like Summer.

Warmer temperatures have made it possible to start using area parks again.

However there is some work that needs to be done to the parks to get them ready for summer use.

The play ground equipment may be ready for kids to jump and play on.

But there is still maintenance to park facilities and cleaning up the grounds that still needs to be done.

Soon crews from the City of Marquette will be getting the restroom faculties at the parks back in working order.

The bathrooms are winterized and closed during the winter months to prevent pipes from bursting since many of the facilities are not heated.
