Champion Street Bridge Repairs
With summer just around the corner that means construction season across Upper Michigan is almost here.
The Michigan department of transportation is planning to invest $49,000,000 in the u.p..
$716,000 of those dollars will be spent on repairing a bridge in the City of Marquette.
The Champion Street bridge above the by–pass on U.S. 41 will receive a much needed facelift.
The structure has stood for close to 5 decades with out much work ever having to be done to the bridge.
The project is expected to start in June and will last about two months.
