Curves Food Drive
By early March, most of us that had physical fitness as a New Year’s resolution have let it slide.
But a local fitness center aimed especially at women is offering an easy chance to get back on track.
Curves of Marquette is holding its fourth annual canned food drive to benefit local pantries.
It’s the 14th year of the food drive for Curves gyms around the country.
Pam Toenneson of Curves in Marquette says they’ll waive the $99 fee for new members this month — all it will take to join the center this month is a bag of groceries instead.
Everyone’s donations will stay local.
Curves of Marquette will donate the canned food items that people bring in to the St. Vincent de Paul and Salvation Army food pantries.
The food drive began yesterday and continues through the end of March.
