The Munising Police Department says that at 10:50 a.m. this morning, they received a call from the Munising High School reporting a possible Bomb Threat.  The reported threat was found written on a door in one of the bathrooms by School Staff and was immediately reported to authorities.

Officers from the Munising City Police Department, Alger County Sheriff’s Department, and Michigan State Police immediately responded.  School Officials placed the School into Shelter Secure Mode per their policy.  The School was searched by Law Enforcement and School Staff and nothing was found.  At 12:25 p.m. the School resumed normal operation.  The incident remains under investigation.

The incidents today bring the total to four bomb threats at Upper Michigan schools in recent months. On Valentine’s Day, a threat was made at the Menominee High School. (See next story below for an update on that case.) In December, 2011, Bark River-Harris School was threatened.
