Marquette Elks Pasty Fundraiser
Some local ladies were hard at work this morning, baking dozens of examples of a U.P. staple food as part of a fundraiser.
The women were baking dozens of pasties this morning in the kitchen of the Marquette Elks Club.
They made a hundred of the food item that originally came from Cornwall, England.
After making and baking the pasties this morning, they sold and delivered them this afternoon.
The Elks Club has made plenty of pasties before, but the ladies tell us they’d never made their take on the pasty available to the general public until now.
