Youth Fundraiser Sunday

Youth from Messiah Lutheran Church will host a soup luncheon at 12:15 on

Sunday February 19. A free-will offering will be collected to help with

expenses related to their July 2012 trip to New Orleans, Louisiana for the

ELCA National Youth Gathering.

The theme for this National Youth Gathering

is “Citizens With the Saints.” The Gathering program is built around three

core practices: discipleship, peacemaking and justice, in which the young

people will be immersed before they come to New Orleans, while they are

attending the Gathering, and again, in the communities when they return

home.
