M-Dot Helps Gladstone Resurface Street
The city of Gladstone is receiving nearly $70,000 from M–Dot to resurface one of the community’s major streets.
It’s North 9th Street, from North Fifth Street to north Lakeshore Drive.
The street helps connect the downtown area with US–2 and 41.
The project will cost about $85,000
Funding from M–Dot will cover 80% of that cost.
The resurfacing work will take place sometime next year.
But city officials don’t know yet when during 2013 they’ll be able to start the project.
Eight Michigan communities are receiving the M–Dot category ‘F’ funds.
Gladstone joins Sault Ste. Marie, and six downstate municipalities, on that list.
