Names Released in Marquette Drive-By Shooting
The Marquette Police Department has released the names of three of the people involved in weekend drive-by shooting.
It occurred about 3:21 am January 22nd at 527 Center Street in Marquette.
19 year old Phillip Scott Swanson of Ishpeming is being charged with three felony weapons violations.
Twin 17-year-old brothers, Dylan Shawn Olli and Casey Michael Olli of Marquette, were both passengers in the vehicle and were both arrested for possession of marijuana.
Marquette Police say the shooting stemmed from an argument between the people in the vehicle and the people in the home “involving a girl and a previous drug transaction that left one party unsatisfied.”
It was determined that Swanson was in the suspect vehicle and was also the trigger man in the incident.
At the time of the shooting, there were seven individuals in the vehicle.
Police officials say there were five males and two females in the suspect vehicle.
They range in age from 15 to 21.
The Olli brothers have been released, but Swanson remains in the Marquette County Jail.
None of the subjects have been arraigned yet.
Authorities are still investigating the shooting and have not released any further information.
