Snowstorm Tests Marquette DPW Crews
The snowstorm of the last few days gave many of us our first taste of serious snow this winter.
It also gave the Marquette Public Works Department’s snowplow crews their first serious test.
The city has eight different routes that it needs to clear during snowfall.
The crews were really put to the test with the storm from the past few days making sure the roads were cleared for motorists.
But DPW director Scott Cambensy says with good crews and machines, they passed the test.
As the snowfall continues over the next few months, he says it’s important for city residents to remember the winter parking ban to help keep the roads clear for the plows to do their jobs.
