High School Job Interviews Workshop

Landing a job was the focus of a recent workshop for students from Marquette Senior High School.

The health occupations classes learned skills they may not get in the regular classroom.

Michigan Works! and members of the community gave students first-hand experience in mock job interviews.

Students were given pointers about how to prepare and dress for an interview.

And they were able to get one–on–one time in a mock interview to practice interview skills.

MSHS senior Tricia Nolan says the interview skills aren’t only useful for future job searches — they also play a key role in getting into some colleges.

Michigan Works! has a variety of helpful tips, tools and workshops to help anyone searching for employment — students or adults.
